Do What is Important

This is one of my “lessons in action” right now. ⠀⠀ I plan to be in the moment more with my son / fiancé and not be so focused on my to do list. ⠀⠀ You? I used to spend most of my time running on a state of urgency. Feeling like I MUST do the dishes, vacuum, do this, that, and everything else other than take time for what’s truly important. Basically run around like a chicken with my head cut off 🐔 😂. I’m sure some of you can relate. ⠀⠀ I’m still not perfect with not busying myself / trying to keep a perfect house, but it’s in my awareness. Importance over urgency is in my awareness. ⠀⠀ When a problem or something we don’t like is in our awareness, it takes its power away from controlling our lives. It allows us to see choices we’ve made and what we would like to do differently. Eventually, we can make better choices in the next opportune moments because we have a greater awareness. It’s that simple. ⠀⠀ If you’re unsure of if something is important or urgent, pause, take a breath and ask yourself: ⠀⠀ DOES THIS TIRE ME OR INSPIRE ME? ⠀⠀ Tire is urgency. Tire is driven from fear. ⠀⠀ Inspire is important. It is from the heart and is derived from a place of joy and meaning. ⠀⠀ Do what matters, Seekers!
