You Give Life to What You Give Energy To
Feeling zapped? Rundown? 😣😴 This has been in my experience a bit lately. Maybe it's just a busy time of year, or maybe it's where we're choosing to put our attention? Either way, these feelings have given me the OPPORTUNITY to reflect. And this is what I've come up with...💭
Our energy levels are little like a bank account—to keep our accounts balanced, we want our deposits and withdrawals to be balanced. We want to be sure not to spend more than we have to give. Do you put this into practice with your life too? Or do you give more than you have to give?
When we do give too much of ourselves without the consideration of our own wants and needs, we tend to become depleted, tired, emotional, uneasy, worrisome, snappy, unclear, jealous, judgmental and the list goes on and on. I began to see these within myself recently, and that was my cue to check in...our emotions are such good barometers for our life!
How can we shift things in our life so we feel more energized, uplifted and balanced?
-Give energy through thought and action in the ways that you want to feel: gratitude, joy, confidence, etc. -Make decisions that serve your highest good. Are you someone that needs to consider saying the "N" word (no), or need to let go of an obligation that is draining you? 🙅🏽♀️ - Invest in your thoughts wisely🤔. Feed the thoughts that make you feel good rather than the ones that take you down the vicious downward spiral of low self-worth, apprehension, frustration, etc. - Treat yourself like a kid again🧒🏼! Rest when you need to rest, eat when you need to eat, cry when you need to cry, hydrate when you need to hydrate, etc. -Practice gratitude and self-love 💞 -Check in with yourself on a regular basis. Honour how you're feeling. 🤗 🧘🏽♀️ -Follow your joy. 🙌🏻 -Surround yourself with people that make you feel good (let go of the energy vampires)🥰 -Let go of technology and immerse yourself in nature📱 🌳 ⛰
